Judith Baca x andSons
andSons is proud to partner with Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and Social and Public Art Resource Center (SPARC) to present Judith Baca’s Los Angeles mural, Hitting the Wall: Women in the Marathon (1984).
Commissioned by the 1984 Olympic Committee to commemorate the first Olympic women’s marathon, the mural is located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles alongside the Harbor Freeway. Depicting a triumphant, powerful female runner breaking through a concrete wall with Los Angeles as a backdrop, the artwork represents women's elevation to an equal position at the world’s stage.
Produced as a limited-edition 12 piece box featuring andSons signature collection of classic and modern bonbons. Proceeds directly support SPARC.
